The 2013 AMA Faculty Consortium serves as a launching pad for collaboration among scholars from different continents to produce premier selling and sales management research.
Exposure to cutting-edge presentations by leading scholars on issues of theory, method and analytics are important, but full value is realized when Consortium Fellows interact with each other and form successful collaborative research teams. Thus, our vision for the consortium is to create an environment conducive to rich interactions in both formal and informal settings. We believe this approach will allow us to explore cutting-edge issues in sales as we forge valuable research-focused relationships.
The consortium theme, Creating Research Collaboration among the Global Community of Sales Scholars, represents the implementation of this vision. We hope that the consortium fosters the intellectual and social networks that are the historical hallmark of the sales discipline. Intellectually, the consortium provides a connection to the ongoing dialogue surrounding key research issues. Socially, the consortium provides connections to other scholars around the world.
