 National Association of Women MBAs

NAWMBA works to educate students on the career opportunities available and the skills that are necessary to succeed by supporting local chapter programs as well as events at the national level, including an annual national conference. We also partner with Graduate Programs leadership to create an exceptional experience for women in the Neeley MBA program.

Professional Development

With strong support from a faculty advisor who has expertise on topics relevant to women in business, the Neeley chapter of NAWMBA encourages the continued education and professional development of MBA students. We sent members to NAWMBA's annual leadership conference, host speaker events, and incorporate a professional development component as part of the spring alumnae brunch. Many of our members also attend the greater Fort Worth Women in Leadership Symposium, which is hosted on campus annually, as well as periodic "Unfiltered Conversations for Women" which are hosted by Neeley's Professional Development Center.

The Neeley Chapter of NAWMBA facilitates a number of networking opportunities, ensuring that first- and second-year MBA students forge strong relationships early in the program experience, facilitating opportunities for full-time and part-time MBA students to get to know each other, and connecting MBA students with alumnae and other professionals for the benefit of expanding professional networks. Each year, we host a Women's Welcome Dinner, Mistletoe and Martinis (a networking dinner that includes alumnae and students), a spring alumnae brunch, and other networking mixers.

NAWMBA facilitates increased communication and collaboration among graduate business school programs and employers regarding their initiatives to educate and encourage women in business.
