China Great Wall
How does a country with strong governmental controls enter and become successful in a market economy? Socialism was an economic failure, so Cuba must change to survive. See for yourself the challenges businesses are facing and the solutions they are discovering through co-operatives and self-employment. Explore how Cuba contrasts to other countries that underwent similar transitions (Russia, China) to help predict what can be expected for the future of business in Cuba. It is highly advantageous if you speak some Spanish.
