Looking Forward to Our 75th
On Thursday, May 12, Neeley School alumni, students, faculty, staff and supporters are invited to celebrate the official kick-off of our 75thanniversary.
Dean Homer Erekson will welcome guest speaker William C. Taylor, founding editor of Fast Company and author of Mavericks at Work and Practically Radical. Erekson will present the Bob Bolen Civic Leadership Award to former Deputy Secretary of Defense Gordon England (MBA ’75), and the Neeley Alumni Business Award to Frost Bank. The 2011 Neeley Alumni Professor of the Year also will be announced.
“Seventy-five years and counting. Can you believe it?” said Erekson. “It is such a milestone for TCU and the Neeley School. This event will set the stage for two years of exciting events, speakers, giveaways and surprises as we lead up to our 75th anniversary celebration in 2013.”
The Neeley 75th Anniversary Kickoff Celebration and Awards Dinner happens Thursday, May 12, 2011, 6:00-9:00 p.m., at Brown-Lupton University Union, third floor ballroom. Attire is business.

As the keynote speaker, Taylor promises to be exciting and interesting. A writer, speaker and entrepreneur, he has shaped the global conversation about the best ways to compete, innovate and succeed. Mavericks at Work: Why the Most Original Minds in Business Win, was a New York Times and Wall Street Journal bestseller, and was named a “Business Book of the Year” by The Economist and Financial Times. His new book, Practically Radical, has been cited by Anne Mulcahy, former chairman and CEO of Xerox, as “a handbook for successful transformation and a great tutorial for implementing your change agenda.”
Special thanks to our Platinum sponsors: BNSF Railway, Frost Bank, and Luther King Capital Management.
