ROB RHODES NAMED 2008 ALUMNI PROFESSOR OF THE YEAR

Rob Rhodes, director of  international programs and associate professor of professional management - business law, has been selected by Neeley alumni as the 2008 Alumni Professor of the Year.

The business school alumni who nominated  Rhodes said that he had influenced their lives not only by the content of what he taught but also the values he conveyed. As one person said: "Rob is the personification of the best of TCU."

As the Alumni Professor of the Year for the Neeley School of Business, Rhodes will receive a stipend and speak at Neeley alumni chapter events throughout the 2008-09 semesters.

"I have had the pleasure of teaching Neeley students for 22 years, and there is nothing as gratifying. Their superior intellect, their willingness to work and the experience they bring to the table form a powerful environment for learning that continues to reignite my passion for teaching," Rhodes said.

Rhodes teaches Legal/Social Environments of Business (undergraduate and graduate), and Cyberspace Law, International Business Transactions, and Law and Business in the European Union (graduate).

Neeley's  alumni organization began the award in 2006 to honor outstanding  business faculty. Neeley alumni submit their nominations for professor of the year; then the Alumni Executive Board and the Dean select the recipient from those nominations.
