Garry B. Bruton Named Editor of Academy of Management Perspectives

Garry D. Bruton, Fehmi Zeko Faculty Fellow and Professor of Management at the Neeley School of Business at TCU, has been named editor of the Academy of Management Perspectives . He is the Academic Director of the Neeley Entrepreneurship Program. 

The Academy of Management Perspectives provides articles about important issues concerning management and business.  It is targeted at serving thought leaders who shape the views of practicing managers, including academics, consultants and business writers.  The journal is distributed to all 19,000 members of the Academy of Management and all major libraries.

"Dr. Bruton has well-deserved respect from not only his students and colleagues at TCU, but also from leaders in the field of management education," said O. Homer Erekson, John V. Roach Dean of the Neeley School of Business. "His international experience as a teacher and scholar and extensive involvement with the business community have prepared him  to identify the important contributions highlighted in the Academy of Management Perspectives ."

Dr. Bruton has major research accomplishments in entrepreneurship, international business and strategic management.  His research has been published in leading academic journals, including Academy of Management Journal, Strategic Management Journal, Journal of International Business Studies, Entrepreneurship Theory and Practice , and the Journal of Business Venturing .   Dr. Bruton holds a Ph.D. from Oklahoma State University and is President of the Asia Academy of Management.

The mission of the Neeley School of Business ( ) includes developing and disseminating leading edge thought in order to improve the practice of business.  The Neeley School pursues this goal by supporting high-quality research by its faculty, diverse customized and open-enrollment executive education programs, numerous speaking appearances by leading corporate executives and entrepreneurs, and extensive opportunities for faculty and students to consult with business clients to solve critical challenges.
