Charles Tandy Executive Speaker Series Event to Feature Sears Holdings Vice Chairman and Former CEO Alan Lacy

FORT WORTH, Texas (October 27, 2005) - Alan J. Lacy, Vice Chairman and former CEO of Sears Holding Corporation, will be the featured speaker at the M.J. Neeley School of Business' Charles Tandy Executive Speaker Series on Friday, November 4, 2005. Lacy will address the Sears/Kmart merger and its affect on the two retail icons. The breakfast event will be held from 7:00-8:30 a.m. at the Brown-Lupton Student Center Ballroom at 2855 Main Drive on the TCU campus.

Lacy is the current Vice Chairman of Sears Holdings Corporation, a company that generates approximately $55 billion in annual revenues and includes approximately 3,800 full-line and specialty retail stores, and related service businesses in the United States and Canada.

Joining Sears as a Senior Vice President of Finance in 1994, Lacy became executive vice president and chief financial officer the following year. He was appointed President of Services before becoming CEO in 2000. He was the thirteenth CEO in Sears' 117-year history, and in December 2000, he was also named Chairman of the Board of Directors.

A chartered financial analyst, Lacy graduated from the Georgia Institute of Technology with a degree in industrial management and earned an MBA at Emory University.

The Charles Tandy Executive Speaker Series breakfast featuring Alan Lacy will be held on Friday, November 4, 2005 from 7:00-8:30 a.m. at the Brown-Lupton Student Center Ballroom at 2855 Main Drive on the TCU campus.
