Larry Lockwood Named 2007 MBA Alumni Professor of the Year

Finance Professor Larry Lockwood, holder of the C.R. Williams Professorship of Financial Services at the Neeley School, has been chosen by Neeley MBA alumni as the 2007 MBA Alumni Professor of the Year.

The Neeley School's MBA alumni organization began the award in 2006 to honor Neeley School faculty. The Alumni Executive Board and the Dean of the Neeley School select the recipient from alumni nominations. The award includes speaking engagements at Neeley alumni chapter events throughout the 2007-2008 semester, and a stipend.

"The MBA Alumni Professor of the Year award is especially meaningful to me because it is awarded by former students after they've had time to reflect on their college experiences," said Lockwood. " I feel extremely fortunate to have the opportunity to influence students in their career and life choices. I consider the MBA Alumni Award one of the highest honors bestowed on a professor."

Added Dan Short, Dean of the Neeley School: "The many alumni who nominated him spoke both of his expertise in his subject matter and his skills as a teacher. His deep commitment to each student touched all."
