The world's largest organization of real estate professors and researchers from industry has elected Dr. Mo Rodriguez as Vice President. He will serve as program chairman for the organization's national meeting in April 2007, as President Elect for 2007/08 and will move up to President for 2008/09.

The American Real Estate Society (ARES) is by far the largest publisher of academic research in real estate, publishing five significant academic journals: Journal of Real Estate Research, Journal of Real Estate Portfolio Management, Journal of Real Estate Literature, Journal of Real Estate Practice and Education, and Journal of Housing Research.

ARES has spawned five sister academic organizations including: European Real Estate Society, Pacific Rim Real Estate Society, Asian Real Estate Society, African Real Estate Society and Latin American Real Estate Society.

"This is a much deserved honor for Dr. Rodriguez, who I know will represent the organization and the Neeley School with distinction in these leadership roles," said Dean Dan Short.
