SEVEN GRADUATES HIT WALL STREET

What do TCU's Neeley School of Business and New York City have in common? Seven Neeley School BBA graduates will be going to work for major Wall Street firms.

Five Neeley School undergraduates are going to the Big Apple after May graduation: Kara Scarbrough, Credit Suisse as Investment Banking Analyst; Nathali Tirado, Credit Suisse as Research Analyst; Ryan Foley, UBS Investment Bank as Investment Banking Analyst; Bobby Tanev, Bear Stearns as Investment Banking Analyst; and Matt Jacobson, Lehman Brothers as Investment Banking Analyst.

In addition, Thomas Hester is going to Bear Stearns as Investment Banking Analyst, and Katie Clement is hired by Houlihan Lokey Howard & Zukin as Analyst, both in Dallas.

Scarbrough said that the large number of Neeley School alumni on Wall Street were her main resource in helping her obtain the job at Credit Suisse. "I was also introduced to additional contacts through my internship at Luther King Capital Management."

"These are plum jobs and we are extremely proud of these placements," said Larry Lockwood, C. R. Williams Professor of Finance. "Kara, Nathalie, Ryan, Bobby, Matt, Thomas and Katie worked hard and are outstanding representatives for the Neeley School. They are sure to achieve great success for their respective companies."

Scarbrough said New York is one of the most exciting cities in the world and the global financial capital. "I'm looking forward to working in a fast-paced environment on challenging assignments dealing with mergers, acquisitions and initial public offerings, as well as interacting with management teams of various companies.

Dean Dan Short said success in landing coveted jobs is all part of the Neeley School mission. "Our career services staff, faculty and alumni go to great lengths to help our students meet the right people, interview successfully and excel professionally. It's win-win strategy for everyone. The students get the jobs they want, and the companies get employees that bring visible value to the organization."
