Supply Chain Professionals Begin New Master of Science Program at TCU

As supply chain managers get increased attention as companies recognize the value of their unique expertise as diversified corporate leaders, more than a dozen supply chain professionals chose to advance their degree and their careers with the new Master of Science in Supply Chain mamagement from the Neeley School of Business at TCU.

Jake Earley, senior operations engineer at Lockheed Martin, chose the program for advancement and networking opportunities.  “TCU has a great reputation in supply chain so I know this degree will help me go further in my career.”

The Neeley School’s new Master of Science in Supply Chain Management builds on TCU’s already excellent reputation for undergraduate supply chain management and TCU MBA concentrations and emphases in supply chain.

“The Master of Science in Supply Chain Management gives supply chain professionals an increased advantage as manufacturers and retailers look to supply chain execs to lead the structure of their businesses, ” said Morgan Swink, executive director of TCU’s Supply and Value Chain Center and professor of supply chain management.

Jamie Potter, senior sourcing manager with DynCorp International, made the decision to pursue his master’s degree at TCU to learn more about his field. “This is a good avenue for me to be able to gain knowledge that I can immediately take back to work,” he said.

To make sure the 30-hour, evening-only program results in the most efficient and competitive supply chain managers, the TCU MBA office and the Supply and Value Chain Center worked closely with area companies to include all the elements that employers want and need.

Mike Martucci, manager of opportunity management for BNSF Railway, chose to pursue the Master of Science degree at TCU over other schools in the region “because of the global perspective versus a production-line environment.”
