Jeff Morris O.  Homer Erekson, John V. Roach Dean of the Neeley School of Business, will welcome Jeff Morris, CEO of Alon USA, Wednesday, October 6, on stage for the Tandy Executive Speaker Series 2010-11. Metroplex business professionals are invited. The breakfast takes place 7:30 - 9:00 am, at the Brown-Lupton University Union, 2901 Stadium Drive. Cost is $20 per person. With more than 30 years of experience, Morris joined Alon USA when it was formed in 2000 after Alon Israel Oil Co. purchased the downstream operations of Atofina Petrochemicals Inc. Morris oversees Alon USA’s businesses, which include four refineries, pipeline operations, terminal networks, asphalt production and branded fuel marketing activities. In this capacity, Morris focuses on growth and acquisition opportunities. He began his career with FINA in 1974 after graduating from Texas Tech with a degree in chemical engineering. Morris serves on the boards of the Dallas Center for the Performing Arts, The Trinity Trust, and Communities in Schools. Under his leadership, Alon established a $1 million endowment to benefit Communities in Schools’ stay-in-school program.
