TIM BATES WINS $10,000 SXHOLARSHIP FROM TEXAS BUSINESS HALL OF FAME

Hundreds of renowned Texas CEOs and entrepreneurs were in attendance as Neeley MBA candidate Tim Bates was awarded a $10,000 scholarship by the Texas business Hall of Fame.

The 25th Annual Texas Business Hall of Fame induction dinner in San Antonio culminated a day of meetings, networking and business insights shared by the leading minds in Texas business today.

"I was truly honored to be nominated by the faculty at TCU for this scholarship," said Tim. "Being surrounded by the giants of Texas business, like Herb Kelleher and Red McCombs, made me realize what a privilege it was to participate in this event."

The Texas Business Hall of Fame awards the $10,000 scholarships each year to U.S. students pursuing their MBA degrees full time in Texas Universities. The scholarships are awarded based on leadership, entrepreneurial achievement, academic credentials and character.

The Texas Business Hall of Fame Foundation encourages economic development by raising money for scholarships for tomorrow's entrepreneurial and business leaders. It does this by honoring some of the state's most successful entrepreneurs, business and community leaders.

This year's inductees were: Tom Benson, founder of Tom Benson Motor Co., major shareholder of Lone Star Capital Bank and owner of the New Orleans Saints; Dr. James Leininger, founder of Kinetic Concepts Inc; Paul Sarvadi, founder of Administaff Inc., and Clayton Williams Jr., founder of Clayton Williams Energy Inc.
