Two Professors Step Up to Lead Graduate Business Programs

Wempe Bill med Dr. Bill Wempe has accepted the appointment as Executive Director of Graduate Programs, and Dr. Pat Walters has accepted the position of Director of the Professional Program in Accounting.

Wempe’s primary responsibilities will include oversight of operations of the MBA and PMBA programs. He joins Bill Cron, Associate Dean for Graduate Programs and Research, in the TCU MBA program office.

Walters is the new Director of the Professional Program in Accounting, which launched in 2011 for students studying for the Master of Accounting degree at Neeley. The PPA integrates the undergraduate and MAc degrees to provide students with academic and professional development to prepare them for careers in accounting.

Walters Patricia medWempe joined Neeley in 2001 as assistant professor of accounting and became associate professor in 2006. He holds a doctor of philosophy in accounting from Texas A&M and an MBA from Wichita State University.

 Walters, a certified financial analyst (CFA), joined Neeley as associate professor of professional practice in accounting in 2011. She previously was senior vice president of professional standards and advocacy for the CFA Institute. She holds a PhD and MBA from New York University.
