Two highly regarded people in the Neeley School moved to new positions over the summer. Both will continue working with students to make sure Neeley graduates have the very best skills and career opportunities.

LaTanya Johns is now Assistant Director at the Center for Professional Communication. She previously was associate director for University Career Services, located in the Neeley School.

LaTanya is adept at coaching, advising and managing students to embrace change, a necessary skill to thrive in the business environment. Her experience within career services provides a unique opportunity for the Center for Professional Communication to strengthen its ability to improve student communication skills, not just for presentations, but for a variety of situations where communication can be a determining factor of success for students.

Vincent Battles moves from Graduate Career Services to be Associate Director for University Career Services for Neeley, where he will work for Neeley undergraduate students on their career goals.

Vincent's prior experience cultivating working relationships between Neeley MBA students and employers for Neeley's Graduate Career Services segues perfectly into his new role. Plus, he brings several years of corporate recruiting experience in the commercial air transportation, consumer products goods and health care industries. Vincent now assists undergraduate business students with career development, interview preparation, and creating strategies to identify employment opportunities. He also manages the day-to-day operation, which includes meeting and greeting employer representatives and working with Neeley faculty & staff.

"Both of these dedicated people will bring energy and unique talent to their new positions," said Dean Dan Short. "Everyone within Neeley will benefit from these moves."
