Investment Strategies Conference February 26 Features Keynote with Former President George W. Bush

The Global Competition for Capital, TCU’s 14th Annual Investment Strategies Conference, will feature insights from prominent portfolio managers and a keynote luncheon conversation with Former President Bush.

Presented by the LKCM Center for Financial Studies and the TCU Endowment Office, the 14th annual Investment Strategies Conference will focus on The Global Competition for Capital, featuring speakers from York Capital, Blackrock, AQR and Strategas. The highlight of the conference will be a conversation with the Honorable George W. Bush, 43rd President of the United States, for the keynote luncheon.

The conference will take place February 26, 2016, on the TCU campus. Morning sessions will be held in the Dee J. Kelly Alumni & Visitors Center. Luncheon will be held in the Brown-Lupton University Union.

This year’s conference will look at the current era of anemic global growth and heightened uncertainty surrounding policy decisions. Speakers will distill the investment risk landscape and the challenging asset allocation choices currently facing portfolio managers. 

The half-day conference will provide respected insights from renowned portfolio management experts in the morning sessions, followed by a keynote luncheon featuring a conversation with Former President Bush, hosted by Jim Hille, chief investment officer for TCU, with an introduction by O. Homer Erekson, the John V. Roach Dean of the TCU Neeley School of Business.

Morning sessions will be led by Daniel Clifton, partner and head of policy research for Strategas; Rodger Baker, vice president of strategic intelligence for Stratfor; Rick Rieder, managing director for Blackrock; David Kupersmith, managing director and vice president for AQR; and Jamie Dinan, founder, chairman and CEO for York Capital Management.
