Neeley Entrepreneurship Center Announces New Director for Values and Ventures

Matt Smilor, a graduate of the TCU Executive MBA program, will oversee TCU’s Richards Barrentine Values and Ventures® Competition.

Matt Smilor joins the Neeley Entrepreneurship Center as director of the Values and Ventures program. He will manage the Richards Barrentine Values and Ventures® Competition, an annual competition for undergraduate students around the world to pitch plans for for-profit enterprises that impact society in meaningful ways.  

Smilor has extensive experience managing detailed and critical programs through his work in the telecommunications and hospitality industries, as well as small business and start-up consulting. He has been involved in the growth, logistics and success of multiple projects, planned and implemented major events, and collaborated with a wide range of people and organizations. In addition, he has run a successful consulting business working with start-up and small businesses. He earned his EMBA from the TCU Neeley School of Business.
