What do MBA admissions officers look for when applicants interview for their programs? U.S. News & World Report called on Peggy Conway, director of MBA admissions for the TCU Neeley School of Business, for her expertise based on her 30 years at TCU.

Conway told U.S. News that she uses interviews to gauge not only whether an MBA applicant would thrive at the Neeley School but also what kind of impression an applicant would make on future colleagues and employers.

"We want students who are going to make an impact," Conway said.

Along with Conway, MBA admissions officers from Harvard, London, Denver and Michigan also shared their insights with Ilana Kowarski at U.S. News.

The admissions experts said four qualities are important for MBA interviews: clarity, self-awareness, humility and a personal connection.
