David R. Parsley Endowed Scholarship Fund for Supply Chain Management
The David R. Parsley Endowed Scholarship Fund for Supply Chain Management was created to encourage students to pursue higher education towards furthering their career in food service supply chain management.
This scholarship was named after David R. Parsley, retired senior vice president of supply chain management for Brinker International, Inc., who is the former chairman of the National Restaurant Association’s Supply Chain Management Executive Study Group and was instrumental in the Group’s formation and growth. Under his leadership, the Group became a best-in-class forum for networking, relationship building and mutual exchange of information relative to supply chain. The group focuses on supply chain management best practices that have application across the restaurant, food service and hospitality industry.
Interested students can apply for the scholarship between January and March of every year via the National Restaurant Association Educational Foundation’s online scholarship application available at www.chooserestaurants.org; scholarship recipients will also have an exclusive opportunity to meet and interact with the scholarship’s sponsoring organization after they are awarded.
