MS Business AnalyticsA new one-year applied Master of Science degree offered by the TCU Neeley School of Business emphasizes the use of analytics in business with actionable insights and transferable skills involving data science, platforming and management. Students will work with technical and statistical software through experiential learning, case study analysis and class projects.

“Students from all majors and young professionals from all industries can upskill their degrees and increase their competitiveness in the marketplace with this new one-year degree,” said Minakshi Trivedi, chair of the Neeley Analytics Initiative, a new school-wide strategy to advance TCU Neeley’s research, teaching and outreach on this critical area to propel students’ future success.

The degree is available to all graduating seniors from all majors and recent graduates from any major. Classes begin in summer 2020. Students who enroll in the 2020 inaugural year will be provided pre-requisite Excel training and statistics workshop at no cost and $2,900 in scholarships.

“The accelerated timing of this new degree is critical, given that many of our students, especially graduating seniors, are seeing the volatility of the market impact their job and internship offers,” said Daniel Pullin, the John V. Roach Dean of the TCU Neeley School of Business. “We made it a priority to create options for our graduates to continue their education by adding an in-demand market skill and preparing for a job market with calmer waters than we have today.”

The MS in Business Analytics covers data analytics, statistical models, data visualization, predictive analytics, people analytics and more. Courses are taught by a cross-disciplinary team of faculty members with expertise in marketing, information systems, supply chain, management and accounting.

Dr. Trivedi is uniquely qualified to lead the MS in Business Analytics program. She was instrumental in launching the Graduate Certificate in Business Analytics for TCU MBAs in fall 2019. To date, 20 students have earned the certificate while earning their TCU Neeley graduate degrees. In addition to the MS and certificate programs, Dr. Trivedi will work on important Neeley Analytics Initiative research and outreach programs.
