Annmarie De La Vega, a member of the TCU Board of Trustees, and Jessica Miller Essl, who serves on the Institute for Entrepreneurship and Innovation’s advisory board were recently announced by the Dallas Business Journal as women in business honorees for making a lasting impact in their respective industries.

Two Texas Christian University leaders were recently named honorees in the Dallas Business Journal’s Women in Business Awards. The annual awards celebrate outstanding leaders across North Texas who are leading teams, driving innovation, and making lasting impacts in their industries.
Annmarie De La Vega ‘10, executive vice president and chief brand officer of De La Vega Development and a member of the TCU Board of Trustees, was named a 2025 honoree.
Jessica Miller Essl ’08, co-president of M2G Ventures, is a member of Institute for Entrepreneurship and Innovation’s advisory board, will also receive the prestigious recognition at an award ceremony in the fall.
“It’s an immense honor to be one of the 30 women chosen for Dallas Business Journal’s 2025 Women in Business Award. The list is comprised of woman making a huge impact in their industry, and I’m excited to be honored alongside another Annmarie De La Vega, who’s making a huge impact on the commercial real estate industry and also a TCU Horned Frog,” said Miller Essl. “I am most proud of seeing all of these women do great things in DFW across the various sectors. It is an honor to be named amongst this group.”
Both De L a Vega and Miller are graduates of Texas Christian University and former students in the Neeley School of Business.
The Dallas Business Journal selected the award recipients through an editorial process, based on their accomplishments, leadership, and contributions to their organization and communities.
The 2025 Women in Business Awards will be held in Dallas on Thursday, August 21.
